Recovering a deleted page

I accidentally deleted a page that had a whole set of pages underneath it. I was hoping that I would just be able to shift those pages up by deleting that page, but instead I deleted everything underneath it. How do I recover this? It would be a lot of work to build all of these pages again. I tried to return to a revision but it did not work
thank you

What version are you running? They should still be under the Edit tab, but be set to the status of closed. There was one version or two that we reversed this behavior, though. People asked us to change it back.

    Version 2.4.0.
Which edit tab? I am looking at the edit tab for the page above where I deleted it and I cannot see any pages anywhere.

The main Edit tab within EE.

If it's not under EE's edit tab it may be a version where we changed the behavior. I don't think so though.

Found it, do I have to change the directory for each individual page that I need to restore or can I do them all at once? The page says open, but the directory was deleted.

Directory? You mena the page above it? You need ot change their statuses to Open and then resave them, assigning the parent to be whatever new page you want.

The statuses are still open, they never changed to closed, i guess they just moved somewhere else. Now I am having to go into the edit option for each individual page, go into structure, then into parent entry and put it where it needs to be. Is this the only way of reorganizing these pages or is there a faster way to do all of the pages at one time? Essentially just restoring them to their original state

You can also just resave them and theyll be top level pages, then you can drag/drop to where you want.
